Samsung could be planning to launch the Galaxy S26 series earlier than expected. Although recent rumors point to a late-February unveiling, new signs suggest the company could be moving faster. Users in some regions have already started spotting ads that appear to reference the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is unusual.

Early Galaxy S26 Ultra ads suggest an early launch

Samsung is widely expected to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026, where it should unveil the Galaxy S26 series. The new flagships should be available to pick from stores sometime in the first half of March. However, these early ads suggest the timeline could change.

A user has shared screenshots of an Instagram ad promoting an upcoming “flagship phone” from a South Korean brand, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, described as “the fastest chipset in 2026.” If that doesn’t already sound like a Galaxy S26, the ad features a clear silhouette that closely matches the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It also mentions the four standard colors for the phone:

  • Black Shadow
  • White Shadow
  • Galactic Blue
  • Ultraviolet

While no launch timeline is mentioned, seeing promotional material this far ahead of an official announcement is not standard practice for Samsung. Ads usually surface closer to launch dates, suggesting that the company may unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup early, or at least the S26 Ultra.

Adding weight to the theory, earlier reports have suggested that Samsung began mass production of the Galaxy S26 Ultra significantly earlier than the regular Galaxy S26 and S26+. That production gap could explain why marketing materials for the Ultra seem ready ahead of schedule. Would we see a split launch for the new flagships? We can’t tell just yet.

Of course, there’s always a chance the image could be fake or AI-generated. It’s so easy to fake things in today’s world. Or maybe the ad is genuine, but Samsung has no plans to launch the Galaxy S26 Ultra early; only time will tell. For now, nothing is officially confirmed.
