It’s one of the best times on Samsung’s calendar! The One UI 8.5 leaks are already painting a pretty cool picture of the features we’ll see at the Galaxy S26 series launch. Sooner, more Galaxy S26 leaks will pop up. Even though a regulatory certification suggested that charging speeds would stay the same with Galaxy S26 Ultra, a popular tipster hints otherwise. And that’s some good news.

Tipster backs the 60W charging speed claims about Galaxy S26 Ultra

Ice Universe claims the Galaxy S26 Ultra will support 60W fast charging. The tipster also previously suggested that this could be the fastest charging speed Samsung has ever offered on an Ultra device. That said, the Chinese regulatory listings we exclusively revealed didn’t exactly bring good news.

S25 Ultra Super Fast Charging 2.0

Could those regulatory figures be for test models or early prototypes? Could they remain exclusive to the Chinese market? I’d still say the first scenario is a strong possibility. As for the second, Samsung doesn’t compromise on China or Korea units. Regardless, the tipster doubles down on the claim that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s charging speed won’t be limited to 45W.

And in any case, Samsung should be upgrading charging speeds across the board. At a time when rivals are moving ahead, Samsung can’t keep feeding us scraps. Even Apple is embracing faster charging, and 45W is firmly a thing of the past, a speed Samsung first rolled out back in 2019.

The bottom line is that we’ll likely (and should) see faster charging on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. In our tests, the Galaxy S25 Ultra charged fully from 0 in just under an hour, 59 minutes and a few seconds, while the S24 Ultra took about an hour and six minutes. Both support 45W, but the Galaxy S25 Ultra draws more voltage. With 60W on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, improvements should be noticeable.
