The Galaxy S26 series is the hottest topic right now as the launch gets closer each day. According to the latest rumors, Samsung will host the Galaxy Unpacked event in late January, which means the phones could go on sale in February. And as the launch draws nearer, guess who may have ended up leaking the Galaxy S26 series design? None other than Samsung themselves.

Samsung may have accidentally leaked Galaxy S26 series design via One UI 8.5

Android Authority spotted possible design changes for the Galaxy S26 series while digging through a pre-release One UI 8.5 build. The discovery confirms several design details of the upcoming flagship lineup. It also confirms that Samsung is using the M1, M2, and M3 codenames for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. (Fun fact: The M here stands for Miracle).

Based on these official-but-leaked renders, the design closely matches what previous leaks have shown. The phones feature a vertically stacked rear camera island similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The Galaxy S26 Ultra keeps its main camera sensors in the primary island, with two additional sensors placed to the right.

At this point, much of the lineup has already leaked. We’ve also rounded up all known rumors about the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ are expected to share most specs, aside from obvious differences like screen size.

The Galaxy S26 series will launch with One UI 8.5 out of the box, breaking from Samsung’s usual January flagship update cycle. One UI 8.5 is expected to be a much larger update than One UI 8. The changelog leaked recently, and the beta program is expected to begin soon.
