Samsung has released a new One UI 8.5 Beta update for the Galaxy S25 series. This is the seventh beta build for the 2025 flagships, and possibly the last. It brings a bunch of bug fixes, pushing the software closer to the stable version. The new update is already live in India, Korea, and a few other regions, and should soon reach beta users in the US.

Galaxy S25 phones receive new One UI 8.5 beta update with several bug fixes

The latest beta release for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra carries firmware build version ZZC7 and weighs nearly 1GB (exact file size varies depending on the model and region). The package still bundles the February 2026 security patch instead of the March version. Samsung was recently spotted testing the stable one UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 lineup with the March patch, so maybe the final release is close too.

As far as the changes are concerned, Beta 7 brings plenty. Samsung’s release notes mention as many as ten bug fixes. The update contains fixes for proximity sensor issues, dark mode, Gallery, Samsung DeX, Weather widget, Wi-Fi, Samsung Messages app, notifications, and more. You can see the full changelog below:

As mentioned above, Samsung is already testing a stable One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy S25 lineup. It includes the March 2026 security patch, suggesting that the rollout could begin later this month. There’s a high chance this is the final beta release for the 2025 flagships.

Samsung is also preparing to roll out beta builds for other models, with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 possibly getting their first One UI 8.5 beta update shortly. We will keep a close eye on the ongoing developments and let you know as soon as we have more information.
