Galaxy S25 Gains Call Captions, Now Brief and Audio Eraser Upgrades with New Beta

Samsung has rolled out One UI 8 Beta 6 for the Galaxy S25 series, and the update finally brings some of the AI-powered features that debuted on the company’s latest foldables. We can confirm that Call Captions, Now Brief Read Aloud, and Audio Eraser in Gallery are now live on the S25 lineup. All of these features were spotted in leaked internal builds.
Galaxy S25 gets new AI features with the latest One UI 8 beta release
Samsung opened the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra ahead of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 launch. While the foldables debuted with several new AI features, early beta builds for the S25 lineup lacked some of them. Now, as Samsung moves closer to the stable release next month, the company has started adding those missing features back to the S25 series.
Call Captions, as the name suggests, provides real-time captions during calls, making conversations more accessible for users in noisy environments or those with hearing difficulties. Likewise, read aloud in Now Brief allows you to listen to summaries of the latest news and updates hands-free. Samsung is internally testing a skip button for this feature, so you can jump to the next section.
Last but not least, One UI 8 Beta 6 for the Galaxy S25 phones bakes Audio Eraser into the Gallery app. Already available through the built-in video editor, you now get a shortcut to this AI-powered tool when watching videos in Gallery. You can tap the button to quickly fix audio in noisy videos, removing unwanted background sounds.
These additions suggest Samsung is now ready to roll out One UI 8 to Galaxy S25 users worldwide. Its beta programs are only available in a handful of countries, so most users still don’t have access to the latest AI tools and improvements. The stable update arrives in September, but we still do not have a release date. With Beta 6 now out, the final version may arrive in a few weeks.
