One UI 8 Beta 6 Leak Reveals New Features for Galaxy S25 Series

Samsung is reportedly readying its sixth beta build of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 series. The next update will not only bring bug fixes but also introduce a few new AI-powered features. Last week, we learned that the build will include Audio Eraser in the Gallery app and Read Aloud support in Now Brief. Now, a fresh leak reveals that the Korean firm will also bundle Call Captions in the upcoming beta.

One UI 8 Beta 6 may bring the last missing feature to the Galaxy S25 series

According to tipster Tarun Vats, One UI 8 Beta 6 for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra will carry the firmware version ZYHB. The build will introduce Call Captions, a feature that shows captions of conversations in real-time during calls. Part of the Phone app, this tool comes in handy for people with hearing difficulties or in noisy environments.

If you have the latest foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, which run One UI 8 out of the box, you can enjoy Call Captions right away. Now, its presence in the upcoming beta build for the Galaxy S25 lineup suggests that it won’t be exclusive to foldables. Furthermore, the tipster says two other missing One UI 8 features from previous beta builds will make their way to the Galaxy S25 series with Beta 6.

As mentioned above, these features are Audio Eraser in the Gallery app and Read Aloud support in Now Brief. The former uses AI to remove unwanted noise from videos, while the latter reads personalized summaries aloud. Note that both features appeared in the previous internal test build ZYH9, but they are now also part of the new build ZYHB, alongside Call Captions.

With these additions, One UI 8 Beta 6 will arrive as the most feature-rich update for the Galaxy S25 series. This suggests that it could be the final test of the Android 16-based software. Meanwhile, Samsung promises to push the stable version to the latest flagship lineup sometime next month.
