We are into the last week of the month, and Samsung has finally started rolling out the February 2026 security patch. The Galaxy S25 series is picking up this month’s security update in Korea, with a global rollout expected soon. Other models should also receive the new patch in the coming days.

Samsung kicks off its February 2026 security update rollout

Samsung typically begins rolling out its monthly security update at the very start of each month. In fact, a few years ago, it would release a new patch even before we hit the new month, and it did that without fail for so long. However, February 2026 played out a little differently, likely because the company was more focused on finalizing One UI 8.5 ahead of the Galaxy S26 launch later this week.

Although Samsung published details of the latest security patch earlier this month, its rollout has been limited to Galaxy S25 users enrolled in One UI 8.5 beta. No other devices received the update until today. The company has now officially kicked off the rollout, starting with the Galaxy S25 series in Korea. Alongside the main flagships, the update is also available for the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE.

For the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 Edge, the February 2026 security update carries the firmware build version BZB2. That for the Fan Edition (FE) model, which shipped with One UI 8 instead of One UI 7 like other models, is AZB2. The update size varies depending on the model.

As expected, the devices don’t appear to be getting anything more than this month’s security fixes. Samsung is keeping all new features and enhancements for One UI 8.5. As far as the content of the new patch is concerned, it addresses 37 vulnerabilities found in Android OS and One UI components.

Samsung should soon roll out these fixes for the Galaxy S25 lineup as well as other models globally. Galaxy users can always check for new updates on their phones from Settings > Software update > Download and install. We will keep you posted as the rollout expands.
