After rolling out the June 2025 security update to a bunch of devices, Samsung is now extending the update to the Galaxy S23 series. It’s currently only available in South Korea, which means users in the US won’t see the latest security patch just yet. However, the update is expected to reach Galaxy S23 users in the US soon.

Shared by @KeepUPwithOneUI on X, Samsung has started rolling out the June 2025 security update to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra in South Korea. As mentioned earlier, it will gradually become available in other markets. Hence, those in the US will likely receive it next in the coming days. The update carries the build version S91*NKSS6DYE5.

Galaxy S23 June 2025 update

To update your Galaxy S23 to the June 2025 security patch, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once installed, your device will be protected with the latest security enhancements and system stability improvements. It’s generally recommended to download the update over Wi-Fi. And make sure your device has sufficient battery, ideally above 50%, before beginning the installation process.

The June 2025 update addresses over 60 security vulnerabilities, including 36 Android-related issues and 10 Samsung-specific patches. This means your device is now better protected against bugs, data leaks, and other potential threats from malicious apps or attackers.

Looking ahead, the Galaxy S23 may soon join the One UI 8 beta program. That’s currently exclusive to the Galaxy S25 trio, not even the S25 Edge. However, the rollout is gaining momentum. Samsung recently released One UI 8 Beta 2, expanding availability to six countries. Still, several devices in the Galaxy lineup have yet to be included in the beta program.
