Samsung Galaxy S23 Series May Get One UI 8.5 Beta Soon

Samsung is taking the One UI 8.5 beta expansion to the next level. As mentioned earlier, the company is planning a major beta rollout in April. Now, the first One UI 8.5 beta build for the Galaxy S23 series has appeared on internal test servers, suggesting that things are moving quickly.

One UI 8.5 Beta build spotted for Galaxy S23 series

The Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra have been recently spotted with a One UI 8.5 test build on Samsung’s servers. So far, only the “B” variants have appeared (this is the global version), though we may soon see beta builds for the US version (U) as well. The latest beta build carries firmware version ZZD1. This strongly suggests that Samsung could release the beta update for these devices very soon. It could happen as early as next week.

As for the Galaxy S23 FE, there is no official confirmation yet. However, based on trends seen with the Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy S25 FE, the S23 FE could also join the beta program later. Test builds for the device may surface soon. Afterward, a beta rollout could follow alongside the standard Galaxy S23 models.

If Samsung brings the beta to the Galaxy S23 series, it also increases the chances of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 receiving the update. The beta program could be available in regions like India, Korea, Germany, Poland, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

These developments suggest that April could be packed with multiple One UI 8.5 beta releases across eligible devices. More test builds for Galaxy A series models or the Galaxy S23 FE may appear next.
