Samsung, T-Mobile Bring In-Store Hologram Experiences for Galaxy Devices

T-Mobile has teamed up with Samsung to bring a new shopping experience to select T-Mobile stores in the United States. The companies are testing hologram displays that let customers explore select Galaxy devices in 3D. The idea is to make phone shopping more engaging, giving buyers a compelling way to experience the latest technology.
Galaxy devices come to life in T-Mobile stores with hologram technology
The test is currently happening in select T-Mobile stores in New York City, Seattle, and other markets. So, if you visit these locations, you can see Samsung’s latest devices in 3D. However, for now, the store only features the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Watch 8 as holograms. This will give you a truly immersive look at the devices while spotlighting the cutting-edge performance and craftsmanship. For example, the hologram display shows Galaxy Z Fold 7’s ultra-thin design and pro-grade camera system.
T-Mobile Advertising Solutions (T-Ads) is using hologram technology to bring Galaxy devices to life in stores. For the uninitiated, T-Ads helps brands show relevant ads to customers in and around T-Mobile stores. Their in-store Retail Media Network includes 35,000 screens in over 10,000 T-Mobile and Metro locations.
They use HYPERVSN’s hologram technology to create 3D renderings of devices sold in T-Mobile stores. As such, the hologram display grabs customers’ attention and keeps them more engaged than regular 2D displays. According to HYPERVSN, these immersive 3D experiences capture 10 times more attention than traditional 2D displays with 66% higher customer engagement.
“In-store retail media opens the door to transforming brand storytelling into real-world experiences right at the point of purchase,” said Cherian Thomas, Head of Global Brand Partnerships, T-Mobile Advertising Solutions. “This test is about learning how emerging display formats — like 3D holograms — can inform, engage and enhance how customers experience products. And it’s all powered by T-Mobile’s network and innovative technology.”
