Samsung May Have Locked a Late February Launch for Galaxy S26 Series

This week has been packed with leaks and rumors about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series flagship. Over the past few days, we saw reports related to pricing, naming changes, and launch timelines. Now, a fresh leak has surfaced, pointing to a possible Galaxy Unpacked date for the Galaxy S26 series.

Galaxy S26 series expected to launch in late February

According to credible leaker Ice Universe, Samsung is planning to host the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026, which falls on a Wednesday. The Galaxy S26 series is expected to make its official debut at this event. The tipster also claims that Samsung will hold the event in San Francisco, USA. This means that the Galaxy S26 lineup will go on sale in early March 2026, in line with previous rumors.

This launch timeline matches earlier reports that also hinted at a February 25 release. However, the timing feels slightly unusual. Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025, so shifting the launch window to late February would be a noticeable change. This time around, Samsung is adjusting its plans more frequently.

During the show, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. That effectively kills any chance of a “Pro” model this year, though we’ll see whether Samsung pulls something out of the hat for 2026.

The Galaxy S26 Edge now appears to be canceled. Samsung may skip the model this time, as the Galaxy S25 Edge saw poor sales. So, the company does not want to make a mistake again.

On a positive note, leaks suggest that Samsung will maintain the same pricing as the Galaxy S25 series. The base Galaxy S26 could start at $799, but with 256GB storage as standard, compared to 128GB on the Galaxy S25.
