Samsung Makes One Hand Operation+ Compatible With One UI 8.5

Samsung has pushed a new update for its One Hand Operation+ module with version 8.6.15. The update makes it compatible with the latest One UI 8.5 while bringing improved stability and bug fixes. The company is rolling out the build worldwide, which should reach all eligible Galaxy owners in the coming days.

Have you ever struggled to use your large Galaxy phone with just one hand? Samsung’s One Hand Operation+, part of the Good Lock app, solves this problem. The module adds a thin gesture handle to the left or right edge of the screen, letting you control your device more comfortably with simple swipe gestures. Furthermore, you can execute a host of actions such as opening the Quick Panel and taking screenshots.

Now, Samsung has made One Hand Operation+ fully compatible with One UI 8.5 beta. For the uninitiated, last week, the Korean firm launched the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series in select regions, including the United States. Eligible users can join the program through the Samsung Members app. This ensures that beta users can continue enjoying gesture controls conveniently while testing the new software.

Even if you are not joining the beta program, you should still install the update. The reason is that the release notes mention “Bug fixes and stability improvements.” This means you can expect seamless performance and a more reliable experience for day-to-day use.

To update One Hand Operation+, you get two simple options. The first method is through the Galaxy Store, where you can search for the module and tap the Update button (if available). The second method is via the Good Lock app: head over to the Plugins section and check for available updates. Meanwhile, Home Up, another popular Good Lock module, also seems to be gaining support for the One UI 8.5.
