Samsung has begun rolling out the long-awaited One UI 8 Watch update to the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The update went live in South Korea earlier today, with a global release expected over the next few days and weeks. This is the final major OS upgrade for the Watch 4 lineup.

This rollout is especially significant because the Galaxy Watch 4 series was Samsung’s first smartwatch lineup to run Wear OS in partnership with Google. Four years later, the devices are now picking up their final feature update in the form of One UI 8 Watch, which runs Wear OS 6 at its core. Korean users are getting the update with the firmware build version JYK4 and a download size of over 1GB.

One UI 8 Watch focuses on refining the overall experience rather than reinventing it. Users can expect smoother animations, improved system responsiveness, and better consistency across Samsung’s smartwatch ecosystem.
