If you own a Snapdragon-powered Galaxy Book, there’s some good news. Qualcomm has recently released the Snapdragon Control Panel for all Snapdragon X series devices, allowing users to easily optimize games and improve performance. You can download the software from the company’s official website.

Snapdragon Control Panel helps optimize games on X series devices

Back in May 2025, Qualcomm announced the Adreno Control Panel in the beta channel, meaning only developers could test the software. Now, the Snapdragon Control Panel is available to all Snapdragon X series users, including Samsung Galaxy laptops. “We’re now unlocking the platform’s graphics capabilities with several updates, making gaming on a thin-and-light laptop better than ever,” Qualcomm noted in its blog post.

The Snapdragon Control Panel automatically detects the games installed on your device, including titles from Steam. It then lets you adjust settings for better performance. You can tweak a bunch of options like super resolution, framerate cap, anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, level of detail, and texture filtering. Qualcomm has promised to roll out more features in future updates to give you more control over your gaming experience.

The software also helps your laptop’s graphics drivers stay up to date. When the system detects new drivers, the control panel notifies you while installing them automatically. This ensures your device runs the newly released games more smoothly and reliably.

Meanwhile, Samsung continues to expand its laptop lineup, adding Snapdragon-powered Galaxy Books regularly. A few days ago, the company quietly launched a thin-and-light Windows laptop, the Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G. The device uses an octa-core Snapdragon X chip with a frequency up to 3.0GHz. The chip pairs with an Adreno GPU for graphics and a Hexagon NPU for advanced on-device AI tasks. However, as of now, the Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G is only available for purchase in the UK for £949.
