Samsung has quietly added a new model to its Galaxy Book 5 lineup. The Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G is now listed for purchase on the Samsung UK website, revealing its full specifications, design and pricing. It joins the standard Galaxy Book 5 and the Galaxy Book 5 Pro models, giving you an option with built-in cellular connectivity.

The Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chipset, built for thin-and-light Windows laptops. The octa-core processor boosts up to 3.0GHz and pairs with an Adreno GPU and a Hexagon NPU. Samsung says the NPU handles advanced on-device AI tasks, which qualifies the laptop for Copilot+ PC certification (h/t XpertPick).

Galaxy Book 5 Edge features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with an anti-glare finish. It comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and 512GB of eUFS storage. Samsung has added a 2MP webcam, dual 1.5W speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos and dual-array microphones. It measures just 15.5mm in thickness and weighs about 1.66kg.

Additionally, it supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, 5G Sub-6 networks through a built-in SIM slot. You’ll also get a bunch of physical ports, including two USB 4.0 Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 Type-A port, HDMI 2.1 with support for 4K at 60Hz, a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone and mic combo jack. Samsung packs a 61.5Wh battery in the device and includes a 65W USB-C charger in the box. The company claims the laptop can last up to 27 hours on a single charge.

Samsung has priced the Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G at £949 in the UK (~$1,249). It is available only in a Sapphire Blue finish and in a single configuration with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Samsung has not confirmed availability for other markets yet.
