After updating the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024) and Watch 7 to One UI 8, Samsung is now readying the Wear OS 6-based software for the Watch 6 and Watch 5 series. The OTA file weighs just under 180MB for both models, though the exact size may vary depending on the model, connectivity variant, and region. Speaking of regions, Samsung is expected to release this update globally in the coming days. Since updates usually roll out in batches, some users may have to wait longer than others.
As far as the content is concerned, the latest update for the Galaxy Watch 8 duo brings security patches, system stability improvements, and bug fixes that address minor glitches. You can also expect optimizations for enhanced performance and system smoothness. There aren’t any new features in tow, though.
