Samsung is walking into CES 2026 with a healthy stack of Innovation Awards, thanks to a mix of AI-powered devices, smarter displays, and a security chip. The company picked up multiple honors across product categories, including two Best of Innovation titles for cybersecurity and display tech.

Samsung’s quantum-ready security chip takes top honors at CES 2026

The standout this year is the S3SSE2A, Samsung’s new embedded security chip that took home the Best of Innovation Award in Cybersecurity. It’s the first chip of its kind to use hardware-based post-quantum cryptography. That’s built to protect devices from the kind of quantum computers that could one day break today’s encryption.

Certified at the industry’s top security level (CC EAL6+), the chip handles encryption right on the hardware. This makes it a strong fit for mobile, IoT, and other connected devices where security can’t just rely on software.

Honorees include Galaxy XR, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Watch 8, and more

Among this year’s standouts is the Galaxy XR (unboxing), which is also the world’s first XR device running on Android. It’s co-developed with Google and Qualcomm. It comes at nearly half the price of Apple Vision Pro, and Samsung is still offering the early offers to buyers.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 also made the list, particularly for refining the foldable form factor with a thinner, lighter, and tougher build. In case you missed it, independent tests revealed earlier that Galaxy Z Fold 7 is actually the slimmest foldable in the world, even though Samsung doesn’t admit it. The list also includes the Galaxy Watch 8 series. It impressed with its slimmer design and the return of the rotating bezel on the Classic model.

Samsung’s hardware lineup didn’t go unnoticed either. The compact PM9E1 Gen5 SSD for AI PCs, the modular Detachable AutoSSD for vehicles, and the efficient LPDDR6 memory chip for mobile AI devices all received honors. Samsung also drew attention for its ISOCELL HP5, the smallest 200-megapixel image sensor designed for mobile devices. The sensor is about half the size of a penny and packs 200 million of the industry’s tiniest 0.5-micrometer pixels.

On the sustainability side, the T7 Resurrected SSD, made entirely from recycled aluminum, was highlighted for its eco-friendly design. Samsung plans to showcase its full lineup of award-winning products on January 4 ahead of CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
