November 2025 security update rolls out to Galaxy A06 5G and Galaxy A17 5G
As spotted by SammyGuru’s Mohammed Khatri, Samsung has started rolling out the November 2025 security update to the Galaxy A06 5G and Galaxy A17 5G. However, as Khatri notes, the update is currently available only in select regions.
Specifically, the Galaxy A06 5G is receiving the update in Iraq, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A17 5G has started getting it in Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
The build version in question are A066EXXU3BYJ4 for the Galaxy A06 5G, and A176BXXS3BYJ1 for the Galaxy A17 5G. If you’re in one of the regions mentioned above and own either of these devices, it’s worth checking whether the update has landed on your phone yet. To do that, head over to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If an update is available, download and tap Install now.
That said, both of these smartphones are also eligible for the upcoming One UI 8.5 update. Samsung will likely unveil the next major One UI version alongside the Galaxy S26 series. Rumors say it will hit store shelves in March, following a big “Unpacked” announcement in February. The wait might be a bit long, but it should be well worth it. In the meantime, we’ve already broken down the new features and improvements coming with One UI 8.5.
