Galaxy S23 FE also gets Samsung’s One UI 8 update
Earlier today, Samsung rolled out its Android 16 update for the Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, Tab S10+, and Tab S10 Ultra in South Korea. The same update is now available for the Galaxy S23 FE in Samsung’s home country. The Fan Edition model is picking up the firmware build version DYI5, with the update introducing a host of UI changes, new features, and functional improvements.
All of these devices are expected to receive One UI 8 in global markets starting later this week. Samsung has already released the update for the Galaxy S24 and S25 lineups in most parts of the world. The Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, Fold 5, and Flip 5 have also picked up One UI 8 in several regions.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A36, one of the first mid-range models to make the jump to Android 16 alongside the Galaxy A56, is now receiving the update in Europe, signaling a global expansion. Samsung should soon roll out One UI 8 for more mid-range devices, delivering the latest UI changes and enhancements to millions of Galaxy users worldwide.
Some of the key upgrades in One UI 8 include a more secure Secure Folder, a redesigned Samsung Internet browser, an enhanced Samsung DeX experience, revamped Quick Share, improved camera features, new actions and conditions for Routines, and smarter Alarms, Calendar, and Reminders. One UI 8 will soon be available for more Galaxy smartphones and tablets worldwide.
