Samsung’s One UI 8 update is now widely available for the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy A56. Initially released in Korea earlier this week, the stable update was recently rolled out in other beta regions. Now, Samsung has begun a global rollout, covering units in non-beta markets.

Galaxy S24 and A56’s One UI 8 stable update goes global

Samsung usually releases major software updates in its home market first, before gradually expanding to regions where beta programs were held. One UI 8 follows the same pattern. The Galaxy S24 series received the stable update in Korea first, followed by other beta regions. The Galaxy A56, despite skipping the beta phase, also saw its stable release debut in Korea.

We can now confirm a global release for these devices. The 2024 flagship lineup is picking up Android 16-based One UI 8 in Australia, with Samsung pushing the same build version (CYI7) as the beta markets. Users get a 3.5GB update accompanied by the September 2025 security patch.

The Galaxy A56 is also getting the latest security fixes alongside One UI 8. European users can now download the update, which carries the build version BYI5 and weighs about 2.5GB. It shouldn’t be long before Samsung rolls out these updates worldwide. You can always check for new firmware releases on your Galaxy by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

One UI 8 brings a host of improvements across Samsung’s ecosystem, including a refreshed interface, smoother animations, and smarter tools powered by Galaxy AI. While flagship devices get the full suite of AI features, mid-range devices like the Galaxy A56 may miss out on some of the more advanced capabilities.

Still, all compatible devices benefit from performance optimizations, battery improvements, and interface refinements that make the overall experience faster and more polished. Samsung will soon release One UI 8 for more Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
