You probably already know that Samsung is planning a major overhaul of the Quick Panel with One UI 8.5. A previous leak outlined the changes coming in the next major update, but it turns out that was just a teaser. There is actually a lot of Quick Panel customization you will be able to enjoy with One UI 8.5.

Your Quick Panel, your way!

In a post by @wr3cckl3ss, One UI 8.5 appears to offer so much Quick Panel customization that you probably didn’t even imagine. You might finally be able to move, resize, and remove any toggle you want. That means if you always use Wi-Fi or mobile data, you could make those buttons bigger. Essentially, the Quick Panel could become much more personal.

This level of control is similar to what Apple added in iOS 18 and what Google offers in Android 16. Samsung users have been asking for more customization options for years, and One UI 8.5 might finally deliver.

It’s worth noting, however, that these features are appearing in early firmware leaks. Samsung could still change or remove them before the official release. But the signs are promising. If the features stick, the Quick Panel could transform from a cluttered mess into a clean, user-friendly space where you only see what matters to you.

That being said, One UI 8.5 will debut on the Galaxy S26 series, which Samsung is expected to launch in early 2026. After that, Samsung will begin rolling out the One UI 8.5 update to other devices. This means we likely won’t see the update officially for quite some time. But as more leaks emerge, the update is looking more and more impressive.
