Samsung today launched its next-generation Fan Edition smartphone, the Galaxy S25 FE, in several markets. However, it looks like the company has also quietly introduced a Snapdragon variant of last year’s Galaxy S24 in India. While we are yet to hear from Samsung, Flipkart has already listed the device with a “Coming Soon” banner.

Samsung surprises fans with Snapdragon Galaxy S24 in India

Launched in January 2024, the Galaxy S24 arrived in two processor variants, depending on the market. While regions like the US received the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 version, India got the Exynos 2400 variant. To be honest, most consumers prefer Qualcomm’s chip in flagship Galaxy devices instead of Samsung’s in-house processor, primarily due to heating issues.

Of course, Exynos 2400 has proven to deliver solid performance and better power efficiency, but it looks like Samsung sees demand for the Snapdragon variant in India. More importantly, Flipkart is kicking off this year’s biggest sale, the Big Billion Days, from September 23, where Samsung and other smartphone brands list their devices at huge discounts. This could be the right time for the Korean firm to make its Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S24 available in India.

As of now, the product page on Flipkart only shows a “Coming Soon” banner, suggesting it will allow customers to buy the device during the sale period. The e-commerce platform has listed the 8GB + 128GB version at INR 74,999, while the 8GB + 256GB model is priced at INR 79,999. The color options include Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, and Onyx Black.

Now, talking about its specifications, the Galaxy S24 features a 6.2-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection (front and back) with an aluminum frame. The rear cameras boast a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide shooter, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The device packs a 4,000 mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. The company will ship the device with Android 15-based One UI 7 operating system.
