Samsung Testing One UI 8 for Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ahead of Beta Program

Yesterday, Samsung finally announced that more devices will be included in the One UI 8 beta program. The Galaxy S24 series, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, will get One UI 8 beta next week. After that, other mid-range models and older flagships are slated to receive the beta update next month.

As we get closer to the One UI 8 beta program for these devices, Samsung has begun internal testing. Yesterday, we learned that Samsung’s internal servers indicate One UI 8 beta build testing for the Galaxy S24 series, and now the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has joined the list.

If all goes well, the One UI 8 beta program for these devices could kick off as early as August 11. Initially, it will be available in the UK, US, Korea, and India. Samsung has not explained why Poland and Germany were dropped from the list. But perhaps they will return in a later round of the beta program, assuming there is one.

Akhilesh Kumar and Mohammed Khatri spotted the build on internal servers and shared the update. Both confirm that testing is underway in India, Europe, and Korea. The build numbers in question are F956BXXU2ZYH1 for India and F956NKSU2ZYH1 for Korea.

That is definitely a promising sign. Hopefully, the One UI 8 beta lands on the S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 this Monday. There is no word yet on whether Korea will get the update first. Or if all regions will receive it simultaneously. However, if recent history is any indication, the rollout will likely begin in Korea before expanding to other eligible regions.
