Breaking! One UI 8 Stable Update Coming to Galaxy S25 Series Next Month

Samsung has officially revealed the release timeline for One UI 8 update, and it’s right on the horizon. After months of speculation, public beta testing, and a steady stream of preview builds, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S25 series will be the first to receive the stable One UI 8 update in September. Just as we expected.

The rollout will follow Samsung’s familiar phased approach. The latest flagship series will be first in line, followed by other eligible models over the subsequent weeks. This staggered schedule allows Samsung to monitor early adopters’ feedback and address any remaining issues before the software reaches millions of users worldwide.

In addition to preparing the stable release, Samsung is also expanding its One UI 8 beta program. Starting next week, the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will join the beta testing group. Those in the US, UK, Korea, and India can register through the Samsung Members app to try the software ahead of its public launch.

Samsung has not forgotten about slightly older or more affordable devices. Next week’s beta expansion will also include the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5, as well as mid-range models such as the Galaxy A36, Galaxy A35, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy A54. Surprisingly, the Galaxy A56 is missing from the list. These devices will receive the same beta features, although the stable version may arrive later than for the flagship models.

For Galaxy smartwatch users, there is still some waiting ahead. The One UI 8 Watch update, which is expected to bring interface refinements, new customization options, and possible performance gains, will begin rolling out later this year. Samsung has not yet provided a specific date for the wearable release.
