Samsung has been launching new hardware one after another lately, and it looks like there’s even more coming in 2025. A recent leak has given us a closer look at the Galaxy S25 FE, revealing some of the hardware we can expect in the upcoming phone.

Here’s some key specs for the Galaxy S25 FE

X leaker @techkeyz333 dug into hidden files in the firmware on the latest Galaxy foldables, and discovered some key specs of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 FE. The findings point to a few notable upgrades across the display, charging, and camera hardware.

The display sees a small but significant upgrade

One of the standout changes is a shift to a more efficient LTPO display panel. Unlike the Galaxy S24 FE, which supported a fixed refresh range between 120Hz and 60Hz, the S25 FE’s display can scale down to 30Hz. This should offer improved battery efficiency during static content viewing. Here are the complete specs of the display’s hardware components.

  • Panel: s6e3fc5
  • Refresh rates: 30Hz, 48Hz, 60Hz, 120Hz (subject to change)
  • Touch IC: Synaptics s3908t, 240Hz samplerate capable

Camera sensors remain largely unchanged, but there’s a nifty upgrade

The camera hardware remains mostly unchanged from the Galaxy S24 FE, retaining the same sensors across the main, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses. The only notable shift is a new selfie camera sensor, moving to Sony’s IMX825. Here’s the specifics.

  • MainSamsung GN3 — supports 8K at 24 FPS, 1080p at 240 FPS
  • Ultrawide: Samsung 3L6 — supports up to 4K at 60 FPS
  • Telephoto: 8mp Omnivision ov08a10 — supports up to 4K at 60 FPS
  • SelfieSony IMX825 — supports up to 4K at 60 FPS

Galaxy S25 FE will support 45W fast charging

We at SammyGuru spotted regulatory filings for the Galaxy S25 FE’s charging speeds, which reveal a significant bump from 25W to 45W. This aligns with Samsung’s flagship offerings. Here’s the hardware powering that uplift in wattage.

  • Fuel Gauge: max77775
  • PMIC: dio8018 (also found in the Galaxy Z Flip 7)
  • Wired Charging IC: cps4038 (same as Galaxy S24 FE)
  • Wireless Charging IC: sm5443
  • Interrupt Controller: s2mps27 (same as Galaxy S24 FE)

Audio, Haptics and Biometrics

The rest of the hardware appears largely carried over from the S24 FE. The device will retain the same stereo speakers, haptic motor, and optical fingerprint sensor found in previous FE models.

  • Audio Amplifier: as882xx
  • Haptics Motor: aw8624x
  • Fingerprint scanner – Goodix gw9558 (optical, same as Galaxy S24 FE)

After reviewing these, the Galaxy S25 FE doesn’t look like a huge upgrade, but it brings a few useful improvements. The new display is more efficient, charging is faster, and the selfie camera gets a small boost. Most of the hardware stays the same, but these changes should make the phone a bit more competitive. It’s expected to launch sometime in the fall.
