Samsung Tests New One UI 8 Build with Enhanced Battery Life

Several Galaxy users recently reported improvements in battery life after installing the June 2025 security patch. Samsung appears to be further enhancing the power efficiency with the upcoming One UI 8 update. While the latest beta release doesn’t bring major gains just yet, the company is internally testing a new stable build for the Galaxy S25 series, and it substantially improves the battery life.

Impressive battery performance in an internal One UI 8 stable build

When it comes to the battery capacity of Galaxy phones, Samsung prioritizes safety and doesn’t plan to implement a larger battery without extensive testing. Thankfully, it continues to improve battery efficiency through software optimizations, resulting in improvements to battery life. With One UI 8, we can expect Samsung to bring several software enhancements aimed at extending the runtime.

Tipster @tarunvats33 on X recently said that Samsung has made notable improvements to battery life on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The tipster noticed a massive boost with the internal One UI 8 stable build BYG1. The company is expected to push these improvements with the final One UI 8 release for the Galaxy S25 and other models. Hopefully, it thoroughly tests the impact of these power efficiency optimizations on the device’s performance before that.

Samsung currently runs One UI 8 beta programs for Galaxy S25 users in select regions. The latest beta build brings stability improvements as well as bug fixes aimed at enhancing overall performance. We don’t know if a subsequent beta build is in the pipeline, but Samsung will continue refining the Galaxy experience through either public beta updates or internal testing ahead of the final release.

Meanwhile, in the latest internal build, Samsung has also improved system fluency and responsiveness. On top of that, the Audio Eraser feature expanded to several stock apps, such as Samsung Notes and Voice Recorder. Hopefully, Samsung will bring all these enhancements to the final build.
