Just recently, Samsung began rolling out the June 2025 security update to the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in South Korea. Since then, it has spread like wildfire to more markets, including Europe and other parts of Asia. And now, it’s finally reached the US.

Galaxy S25, S25, S25 Ultra receive June 2025 update in the US

As you can see, the Galaxy S25 Edge is left out when it comes to the June update in the US. So far, only the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra have received the update, which is pretty much the same story as the early rollout in Korea. Based on that, the Galaxy S25 Edge will likely get the June security patch before long.

For the Galaxy S25 trio, the build number is S93*U1UES4AYE3 for unlocked models and S93*USQS4AYE4 for carrier versions. You can check for and install the latest update by heading to Settings > Software update. The update weighs in at around 550 MB. And it’s best to be connected to Wi-Fi and have enough battery juice before hitting the install button.

The bootloader also gets a tune-up with this update, as hinted by the fifth-to-last character in the build number. Aside from that, the June 2025 security update patches over 60 vulnerabilities, which is no small potatoes. This includes 36 Android-related fixes and 10 Samsung-specific patches. That means your device is now better armored against bugs, data leaks, and other potential threats.

Having said that, here is some more good news. The One UI 8 beta 2 is now live, and the beta program has expanded its reach to more regions. The newly added countries include India and Poland, bringing the total to six where the beta is currently available. It is only a matter of weeks before One UI 8 stable version comes with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.
