Galaxy S25 Edge Picks Up June 2025 Security Update

After rolling out the June 2025 security update to the Galaxy S25 trio, Samsung is now delivering the first software update to the newest member of the lineup, the Galaxy S25 Edge. The update is currently live in South Korea. But it’s expected to reach more regions, including the US, in the near future. Other markets are likely to follow shortly thereafter.
Samsung pushes June 2025 security update to Galaxy S25 Edge
The June 2025 security update for the Galaxy S25 Edge (hands-on) is approximately 648MB in size and comes with firmware version S937NKSS1AYE5 (as noted via Samsung’s community forum). Like the update for the Galaxy S25 trio, it is currently only available in South Korea. You can check out the screenshot below.

Unlike the build number for the Galaxy S25 trio, the June update for the Galaxy S25 Edge doesn’t include bootloader version 4. For example, the June 2025 update build number for the Galaxy S25 trio is S93*NKSS4AYE5, where the fifth character from the end indicates the bootloader version. In comparison, the S25 Edge build number S937NKSS1AYE5 doesn’t reflect a new bootloader version. If anything, this suggests that the One UI 8 beta may not be arriving next for the Galaxy S25 Edge.
As expected, the June 2025 security patch addresses more than 60 vulnerabilities, including 36 Android-related fixes and 10 Samsung-specific patches. This means your device is now better protected against bugs, data leaks, and other potential threats.
Samsung has committed to providing seven years of Android and security updates for the Galaxy S25 Edge. If you own one, you can check for the latest update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi and have enough battery before starting the update process. Stay tuned.
