It looks like someone has jumped the gun. A Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic — the unannounced smartwatch expected to launch next month — has already surfaced on eBay, weeks ahead of its official debut. The unit is listed via auction with a starting bid of just $150, a far cry from its expected retail price. The upcoming watch could cost over $400 when Samsung officially launches it.

The listing features the US LTE variant (model number SM-L505U) and offers a revealing first look at the hardware. We previously provided an exclusive look at the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic’s redesigned “squircle” body — a rounded square shape — and this leak confirms it, marking a notable shift from circular models. The unit up for sale shows a silver watch with a black strap.

We can also see a sapphire crystal glass back and a rotating bezel, a signature feature of Samsung’s Classic watches. The watch is available in a 46mm case, and leaks suggest there may not be another size option. The vanilla Galaxy Watch 8, meanwhile, should come in 40mm and 44mm sizes.

One surprising upgrade is the 64GB of internal storage, double the previous high of 32GB found on select models, including last year’s Galaxy Watch Ultra. This puts the Watch 8 Classic well ahead of most Android smartwatches in terms of onboard space. This should be great news for users who store music or apps directly on their watch.

It’s unclear how the seller got hold of this unit. However, it aligns with recent leaks and teasers pointing to an Unpacked event in the first half of July. Alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 series, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and possibly a new FE-branded foldable. Stay tuned — with leaks like this popping up, Samsung’s next wave of wearables might just be its most exciting yet.
