The Galaxy S25 Ultra is the most premium Galaxy S device Samsung offers right now. However, there are concerns about the phone’s quality control, particularly regarding the camera rings around the lenses. A user recently reported that the camera ring of the phone fell off on its own, which is surprising for a flagship device built to high durability standards.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra camera ring comes off within three months of use

While the Galaxy S25 Ultra model resembles their predecessors, the rear camera has a subtle design change. A metal ring now surrounds each lens on the back of the phone, giving it a distinct look. An earlier durability test revealed that you can easily remove metal rings using a razor blade. It looks like Samsung uses glue to fit the rings around the lenses, raising questions about long-term durability.

A user, Partho (@parthosarathi_b), recently took to X to raise a complaint regarding the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s rear camera rings. The user said the main camera ring fell off on its own, just within three months of use. What makes the situation more concerning is that the user did not drop the phone, and yet the ring detached. While the reason behind this issue is still unclear, it could be due to high heat and humidity that affected the adhesive.

The good thing is that the Samsung service center promised to fix the issue, maybe because the phone is still within the warranty period. The user wrote, “I have been to the service center today, and it looks like a defect since the glue is supposed to hold all rings correctly, and one was loose. They are yet to order the rings, so I will have to wait.”

While the problem doesn’t appear to be widespread yet, this raises concerns among buyers, particularly considering its steep price tag. Camera is one of the main selling points of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and issues like camera rings falling off may hurt user experience as well as brand perception.
