No Titanium? Galaxy Z Fold 7 Might Stick with Aluminum Frame

As the rumored July launch draws closer, new details have surfaced about the Galaxy Z Fold 7. We now have a clearer picture of the color options and storage variants for the new foldable. Samsung also officially teased the device a few hours ago. Amidst all this, it looks like the Fold 7 will miss out on a titanium frame.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 may skip a titanium frame, stick to an aluminum body

According to the trusted source WinFuture, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be available in Black, Silver, and Blue Shadow colors. The language used for these color names suggests the phone will skip a titanium frame. Samsung typically adds the prefix “Titanium” to the color names for Galaxy devices featuring a titanium finish. All seven Galaxy S25 Ultra colors and all three S25 Edge colors have “Titanium” in their names.

Unless the report specifically referred to the shades rather than marketing names, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 looks set to feature an aluminum frame. There have been rumors of Samsung switching to titanium for enhanced strength and lightweight design as it shifts to a slimmer and wider build for the new foldable. However, those rumors may not hold, though you never know.

As mentioned above, Samsung recently teased the Galaxy Z Fold 7, promising “Ultra” upgrades in design, display, cameras, and performance, fueling speculation of a device that delivers flagship-level experiences in a foldable form. Or maybe it will rename the new foldable as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra; time will tell.
