One UI 8 Makes Galaxy Repairs Easier with QR and NFC Support

Samsung is streamlining the Galaxy repair experience with One UI 8, introducing smarter, faster customer support powered by QR and NFC technology. As part of its push toward more convenient mobile experiences, the company now allows users to register their devices at service centers using their Samsung Account — no more filling out forms by hand. This new feature promises to cut down wait times and simplify the entire repair process, making support visits more efficient than ever.
One UI 8 enables faster and more convenient Galaxy smartphone repairs
Samsung today announced One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S25 series. The company’s official announcement details some key changes Galaxy users are getting with the new update. While the focus remains on enhancing the Galaxy AI experience, Samsung has also looked to improve things elsewhere. Apps like Quick Share, Reminder, and many others are getting meaningful upgrades in One UI 8.
Besides these feature enhancements, One UI 8 makes Galaxy repairs faster and more convenient with QR- and NFC-enabled support. You can now register your phone at repair centers in a jiffy without filling out long forms on paper. It’s worth noting that this feature won’t be available globally at launch. Samsung says this QR- and NFC-enabled repair support will roll out in the following 36 countries with One UI 8:
Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, France, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and the US.
Samsung will gradually expand the feature to more countries via future updates. The company adds that this convenience may not be available across all repair shops, though it is getting more locations onboard. Additionally, you need a Galaxy device with NFC support and Android 10 or newer.
