About a week ago, we exclusively spotted an interesting listing detailing a magnetic wireless battery pack that can attach directly to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series without the need for an additional accessory. This would only be possible if Samsung adds Qi2 magnets to the Galaxy S26 lineup. And that’s been in the rumor mill for long.

After some digging, we found that it will come with a 5,000mAh capacity, information revealed through another third-party customs data website. We also learned that it is being manufactured in Vietnam rather than Korea. While we did spot a live image of the product on a Korean certification site, it was not very clear. However, the WPC has leaked the same product on its website (via 9to5Google). It also reveals some useful tidbits.

We now know two more things about the upcoming Magnetic Wireless Battery Pack for Galaxy S26

First off, take a moment to focus on the upcoming accessory that will most likely be announced alongside the Galaxy S26 series. Next, you may want to take a look at what the WPC reveals. It confirms that the device will support Qi 2.1.0 with 15W output, which means you will not be able to reach full charging speeds. That’s because the Galaxy S26 Ultra could support up to 25W wireless charging, whereas the S26 and S26+ could still support 15W wireless charging.

Furthermore, the folks over at 9to5Google make an interesting explanation as to why this is the case. You are not alone if you find the design somewhat odd for an accessory, especially the cutouts. You may be wondering why the design looks this way. Now think about the camera placement on Galaxy phones.

Here is the explanation: the design actually compensates for Samsung’s camera placement, which interferes with flush Qi2 accessory contact. While this is only a workaround for a design flaw Samsung will eventually need to fix, the approach is effective. Samsung’s official magnetic wallets use the same solution.
