WhatsApp Update Brings Fresh Tools to Express Yourself on Status

A few weeks ago, WhatsApp introduced a host of new features across chats, calls, and channels. The app has now announced new capabilities for its Status feature, bringing even more ways to express your personality. WhatsApp promised to roll out the latest update to users globally soon.
Here’s what’s new on WhatsApp Status
WhatsApp Status is your private space, similar to Stories on other social media platforms. It allows users to share what’s happening in their day-to-day lives through photos, videos, and more. Your status updates expire automatically after 24 hours, while you can always delete them earlier. And now with the latest update, WhatsApp aims to improve how you express yourself through Status.

The first notable addition to the Status is Layout, which lets you create collages with up to six photos. This means you can now combine multiple photos into a single collage instead of uploading photos one by one. This is pretty useful if you want to tell a story or a specific message using several images simultaneously. With built-in editing tools, you can lay them out exactly how you want.
Another compelling addition is More with Music, which lets you add a particular song to your Status. On top of that, you can even turn that song into a music sticker and add it to a separate status post. This is a great way to let your friends hear what you are listening to.
Speaking of the Photo Stickers, you can now turn a photo into a sticker and add it to your Status. The best thing is that it allows you to edit stickers, so you can adjust their size and shape. This allows you to personalize your Status in unique ways. Lastly, with the addition of Add Yours, WhatsApp aims to make Status more interactive. You can select a photo and use the Add Yours sticker to invite friends in on the conversation. When your friends see it, they can share it on their Status as well.
Since WhatsApp will make all these features available to Android and iOS devices, you will be able to get a taste of them on Galaxy devices as well. However, as mentioned above, it may take a few weeks for the latest update to show up on your device.
