Galaxy Z Flip 7 features a wider display aspect ratio and slimmer bezels

Noted tipster Max Jambor recently took to X to reconfirm that Samsung recently ramped up mass production of key components for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, following a limited production run since mid-February. Before revealing this info, they made another post on the Elon Musk-led social platform, saying, “B7 Display: 161.57 x 69.96 mm.”

For the uninitiated, “B7” is the internal codename for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7. Jambor is referring to the dimensions of the upcoming Flip’s main screen. A simple calculation reveals a 22:9.53 aspect ratio, wider than that of the Flip 6 (22:9). This is thanks to a mix between a wider overall build and slimmer bezels.

Leaks say the Galaxy Z Flip 7 has dimensions of 166.6 x 75.2 x 6.9mm, compared to the Flip 6’s 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9mm. As you can see, the new model is substantially wider and also a little taller. This change allowed Samsung to increase the screen size from 6.7 inches to 6.8 inches, as well as pack a larger battery, going from 4,000mAh to 4,300mAh.

We made some calculations based on this data and discovered that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.22%, higher than the Flip 6’s 85.5%. This confirms slimmer bezels, allowing for a more premium look.

Samsung is also making the cover screen bigger, now covering the entire backside of the phone’s upper half. There’s no longer a folder-shaped design for cameras, taking the screen size from 3.4 inches to 4.0 inches. Overall, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is shaping up to be a substantial upgrade from the Flip 6. More details should emerge soon.
