September 2025 Update Hits Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE in India

Samsung has started rolling out the September 2025 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE in India. As previously noted, the update includes several new features with improved security. This rollout comes shortly after the update was released in other markets.

Samsung’s September 2025 security update is one of the most significant updates released recently. It includes patches for over 80 vulnerabilities, including a critical image-processing bug. Thankfully, these issues are being addressed with this update.

In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 (review) are receiving a DeX upgrade that enhances the overall experience. When connected to an external display, you can now use DeX with a mouse and on-screen keyboard for added convenience. You can also add widgets to your home screen for quicker access.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE (review), however, won’t receive these DeX features as it doesn’t support DeX. That said, all three foldable devices are getting the new addition of Google Finance to the Now Bar, allowing users to track stock activity directly from the lock screen. To update any of these foldable devices to the September 2025 security update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update appears, tap Update and wait for the installation to complete. Afterward, you can restart your phone. For the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the update is approximately 790 MB. On the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE, it’s about 701 MB and 569 MB, respectively.
