Samsung Care recently hosted its annual National Skills & Repair Competitions, bringing top technicians from the US and Canada. The competitions celebrated excellence in the Consumer Electronics (CE) and Mobile Experience (MX) teams. This shows the company’s commitment to offering better customer service while encouraging technicians.

Samsung’s competition strengthens customer service in the CE and MX teams

Through National Skills & Repair Competitions, Samsung aims to improve technician skills in both technical repair and customer service. Technicians took part in hands-on challenges that test their speed, accuracy, and soft skills. This investment helps ensure that the company’s “We Come to You” service remains faster, more reliable, and customer-focused. The company built the competition based on the 2025 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) survey.

The CE competition brought ten finalists to compete for the Top Tech title at Samsung’s Technical Training Center in New Jersey. Participants went through several real-world customer service scenarios. For example, they diagnosed issues just as they would in a customer’s home. They also replaced parts while presenting communication and problem-solving skills. Speaking of winners, the first place went to Alex Nahum, followed by Christopher Ross in second and Cheon Ho Lee in third.

At the MX competition in Plano, Texas, 13 technicians competed in three phases. These are diagnoses to determine the issue, repairing the issue, and an assessment (for accuracy, speed, and quality). These challenges help technicians sharpen their skills and deliver great service to customers. As for winners, Andrew Coleman took first place, Sunghee Han (Rocky) came second, and Gary Velazquez finished third.

“At Samsung, we believe that exceptional customer care begins with empowering our technicians,” said Mario de Castro, Head of Mobile eXperience Customer Care at Samsung Electronics America. “By investing in the development of their technical and customer service skills, we ensure that Samsung Care continues to deliver unparalleled service and convenience to our customers.”
