Samsung’s Micro RGB TV Meets Eye Safety and Circadian Standards

Samsung’s Micro RGB TV not only offers large-screen entertainment but also prioritizes eye comfort. The company’s R95H model has recently received Safety for Eyes and Circadian Rhythm Display (CRD) certifications from VDE (a global testing institute in Germany). This suggests you don’t need to worry about eye stress and sleep disruption while watching TV.
Samsung’s Micro RGB TV combines entertainment with eye care
Samsung’s Micro RGB TV uses Micro RGB LED technology. Each pixel features small red, green, and blue LEDs (less than 100 micrometers in size). These micro LEDs sit behind the screen, letting the TV control brightness and color precisely. The above-mentioned certifications are part of VDE’s EyeCare Circadian program.
The Safety for Eyes certification looks at eye safety for a display during longer use. It focuses on the blue light that can impact eye health. Meanwhile, the Circadian Rhythm Display (CRD) certification assesses display support for the user’s biological clock. The agency adjusts color temperature and brightness based on the time of day to mimic natural light. It also reduces blue light in the evening to prevent melatonin suppression. This feature comes in handy if you watch TV at night.
Samsung’s flagship R95H Micro RGB TV comes in 115-inch and 130-inch sizes. The former debuted last year while the latter went official at CES 2026. Thanks to cutting-edge features like Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, Micro RGB Color Booster Pro, and Micro RGB HDR Pro, we get improved color and enhanced contrast across bright and dark scenes.
“Micro RGB TV is setting a new standard in the premium TV market by being verified for both eye safety and circadian rhythm support,” said Taeyong Son, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We will continue to deliver display technologies that consider our users’ viewing environments and enhance their lifestyles.”
