Samsung Updates Calendar and Reminder Apps with Smarter Features in One UI 8

Samsung’s Calendar and Reminder apps are getting smarter features in One UI 8. New updates for One UI 8 beta users, which introduce version number 12.7.00.35 for both apps, bring fresh tools and improvements to manage schedules and tasks easily. These features may not roll out to users on One UI 7, meaning that you must wait until the One UI 8 update.

What’s new in the latest Calendar and Reminder apps update for One UI 8 users?

Samsung Calendar app lets you create events and tasks quickly on your Galaxy device, ensuring that you remember them. You can set recurring events, choose time zones, and customize notifications according to your requirements. Likewise, the Reminder app lets you easily add things you need to do or remember. With One UI 8, the Korean firm has further enhanced these two useful apps to make everyday tasks simpler.

Starting with the Calendar app, you can now view your calendar on a larger screen, making it easier to see events. When creating a schedule, you can add a reminder directly on the same screen. Furthermore, it allows you to adjust the date of reminders right from the calendar view, offering better flexibility. Samsung now recommends commonly used entries in the quick input window.

Speaking of the Reminder app, it gains a simpler layout, making it easier to navigate your to-do list and use the search function. Under the Try these out section, the app adds some ready-to-use templates, helping you get started with reminders for common tasks. Furthermore, Samsung has redesigned the Add Reminder screen and added a new voice input button to enhance convenience.

If you want to experience these helpful improvements in Samsung’s Calendar and Reminder apps, you must be using a Galaxy phone with One UI 8. Unfortunately, the new version is currently limited to the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung may launch beta programs for more devices in the coming weeks.
