Samsung has boosted the fan experience at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets. The company upgraded one of the stadium’s most recognizable features: the Coca-Cola sign overlooking right field. Thanks to its LED-powered technology, the refreshed sign delivers clear and brighter visuals in any weather or lighting condition.

Samsung upgrades the Coca-Cola sign at Citi Field with advanced displays

Samsung and the New York Mets made Citi Field into a showcase of modernized fan experiences and display technology. The new LED signage sits above Coca-Cola Corner, a 9,000-square-foot fan zone. The space offers food, drinks, interactive games, and panoramic views of the field and scoreboard. The vivid Coca-Cola logo is visible from anywhere in the field and to those watching at home.

The new Coca-Cola sign features 22,117 vibrant pixels with up to 3,000 nits of brightness. The setup includes more than 1,300 LCD displays throughout the park. Fans also see digital ribbon boards circling the seating bowl and a dual-sided scoreboard in centerfield that spans 24,300 square feet. The main scoreboard displays live game action, instant 4K replays, and player stats.

“Our long-standing partnership with the Mets is built on using technology to enhance every aspect of the game-day experience,” said David Phelps, Head of the Display Division, Samsung Electronics America. “The elevated Coca-Cola sign combines advanced LED performance with precision design, ensuring it stands out as an iconic landmark and complements the state-of-the-art digital displays throughout Citi Field. As fans ‘Share a Coke’ in the stands, they can also share brighter, more memorable moments at the ballpark.”

Samsung also repainted the sign’s frame to match Coca-Cola’s exact shade of iconic red. Thanks to its IP66-rated display, it can easily handle dust and heavy rain. The company also makes it easier to service, ensuring it is always ready for game day. Ross Video is creating new digital content for the Coca-Cola sign, while the Mets manage it from their 4K control room.
