AI leadership helps Samsung stay in the global top 5

Interbrand is a global brand consultancy that ranks brands based on a comprehensive analysis. These mainly include the company’s financial performance, influences on customer purchases, and competitiveness. The industry considers its ranking as one of the world’s longest-standing brand value evaluations.

Interbrand recently released its list of Best Global Brands for 2025. The top five are Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Samsung. This year, the Korean firm maintained its 5th position with a brand value of $90.5 billion. According to the consultancy, several key factors contributed to Samsung’s ranking.

The company has improved its AI competitiveness across its business divisions while focusing its investment in AI-related semiconductors. Furthermore, it has delivered seamless customer experiences through unified integration across its products, with a focus on executing a customer-centric brand strategy.

“Through AI innovation and open collaboration, Samsung has worked to ensure that more customers can experience AI in their daily lives,” said Won-Jin Lee, President and Head of Global Marketing Office at Samsung Electronics. “Moving forward, we will continue to focus on benefits for customers including in health and safety so that Samsung can grow into an even more beloved brand.”

Samsung aims to make AI accessible to more buyers worldwide under the vision of “Innovation for All”. This year, the company has made substantial improvements to its Galaxy AI suite, strengthening its leadership in mobile AI. It expects to make AI available on 400 million devices within the year. Furthermore, Samsung has introduced AI technologies for other electronic product categories as well. For example, Vision AI offers rich AI features on its smart TVs, while Bespoke AI helps personalize tasks on smart home appliances.
