Samsung has released the second One UI 7.0 Beta 4 hotfix in the US. This update was first rolled out in international markets, including Europe, India, and South Korea. It addresses a refresh rate issue on the Galaxy S24 Ultra and doesn’t bring any other changes.

Galaxy S24 gets second One UI 7.0 Beta 4 hotfix in the US

Shortly after rolling out the fourth One UI 7.0 beta update for the Galaxy S24 lineup, Samsung released a hotfix update in the US. Carrying firmware version ZYBB, it addressed a VVM crash issue. This update never made it outside the US. However, Samsung recently pushed another hotfix, starting in global markets. It has now reached stateside.

The latest update bears firmware version ZYBF and targets a problem where the Galaxy S24 Ultra would experience unexpected frame rate drops in certain situations. Samsung’s official changelog doesn’t mention any additional fixes, suggesting that this release is focused solely on optimizing display performance.

This also means other known issues remain unresolved. The side button still lacks Gemini integration, detailed battery stats are still missing, and the oddly designed battery icon remains unchanged. However, Beta 4 did introduce a smoother charging animation. Notably, this hotfix doesn’t bring a new security patch either, leaving the Galaxy S24 Ultra on the February build.

Samsung’s continued rollout of hotfix updates indicates that the stable One UI 7.0 release may still be a few weeks away. In fact, a leaked schedule suggests the update may not arrive until mid-April. The company may release beta updates for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 ahead of that.

For now, Galaxy S24 Ultra users running the beta can install the latest hotfix to improve display performance. Stay tuned for more updates on One UI 7.0 as Samsung works toward the final release. It remains to be seen if the update rolls out before the end of March, a timeline the company first announced in October 2024 and reiterated last month.
