September is the month of One UI 8, and Samsung is keeping the momentum going. While the stable update for the Galaxy S25 series is still pending, the company has been pushing out beta builds at a rapid pace. Just a day after releasing Beta 7 for the S25 trio, Samsung is now rolling out the second beta update for the Galaxy A36. More beta releases are expected in the days ahead.

Galaxy A36 gets its second One UI 8 beta update

Galaxy A36 users in India who joined Samsung’s One UI 8 beta program are now getting a new update. The latest release comes with firmware version ZYI7 and weighs about 440MB. It bundles the September 2025 security patch along with a bunch of bug fixes. Samsung has fixed an issue where the camera app would crash when switched to portrait mode or the app would fail to respond.

Additionally, the update addresses a problem that caused the phone to reboot after changing the time manually. It also fixes a bug related to AUT. The changelog doesn’t mention anything more, but Samsung may have ironed out some minor bugs and enhanced the system stability for a smoother user experience.

Alongside the Galaxy A36, Samsung launched One UI 8 beta programs for the Galaxy A35, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy A54. These models may also soon receive new beta builds. Moreover, the company is expected to roll out fresh beta updates for the likes of the Galaxy S23 and Fold 5 in the coming days.

As far as the stable release is concerned, the Galaxy S25 series should receive it soon. Samsung may follow up with stable updates for the S24, Fold 6, Flip 6, and other models later this month. The company should complete the One UI 8 rollout before the end of this year. Here’s a leaked roadmap showing the release dates for various models, though it’s subject to change.
