Samsung Reveals Galaxy F70e 5G Specifications and Launch Date

Samsung has officially revealed the specifications and launch date of its first Galaxy F70 series smartphone. Dubbed the Galaxy F70e 5G, the device offers great camera, reliable performance, and solid battery life, catering to young users in India. The company will make the phone available on Flipkart and its official online store.

Samsung shares details of its first Galaxy F70 series smartphone

Shortly after teasing the Galaxy F70e 5G, Samsung has now shared key details of the upcoming smartphone. The device features a leather-finish back panel with a side-mounted Key Island design. Thanks to an IP54 rating, the phone offers protection against dust and water splashes. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits of peak brightness. The company says it will offer smoother scrolling and fluid gaming, with zero drag and zero lag.

The Galaxy F70 series places the camera at the centre of the smartphone experience. The Galaxy F70e 5G boasts a dual rear camera: a 50MP primary unit and a 2MP depth sensor. There is an 8MP front camera for selfies. The phone supports 12 5G bands for greater network coverage.

Samsung equipped the Galaxy F70e 5G with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip (delivers an AnTuTu score of around 623,000). This should offer reliable performance for day-to-day tasks. The phone uses a 6,000mAh battery that lasts all day and night on a single charge.

As for software, the Galaxy F70e 5G will run with One UI 8 out of the box. Samsung has confirmed that the phone will get 6 generations of Android OS updates and 6 years of security updates. Other features include Samsung Knox Vault and Voice Focus.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy F70e 5G in India on February 9. The smartphone will be available in two colours: Limelight Green and Spotlight Blue. It will be priced below INR 15,000. We will learn the exact pricing on the launch day.
