Samsung Releases Stable One UI 8 Update for Galaxy Watch 6 in the US

Samsung has begun rolling out the stable One UI 8 Watch update to the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic in the US. The release marks the end of the Beta Program, kicking off a global release of the stable version. The Galaxy Watch 5 series is the next in the pipeline.

Galaxy Watch 6’s stable One UI 8 Watch update arrives in the US

Last week, Samsung announced the closure of its One UI 8 Watch beta program for the Galaxy Watch 6 series in Korea. It has since widely released the stable version across its home market. Now, the beta program has officially ended in the US as well. Beta users are getting a small update pushing them to the stable build, which carries firmware version CYK2.

The stable release should soon reach Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic users who skipped the beta version in the US. The build number is expected to remain unchanged. Moreover, Samsung may start a global rollout in the coming days, as the beta program isn’t available anywhere. Users can check for updates from the Galaxy Wearable app on their connected smartphone.

Based on Wear OS 6, One UI 8 Watch introduces meaningful upgrades on both the software and UI fronts. New dynamic tile system displays contextual information based on notifications, activities, and ongoing tasks, while Now Bar integration offers real-time insights at a glance. The update also boosts performance, improves system smoothness, and enhances battery efficiency.

Samsung has already started the One UI 8 Watch beta program for the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. These models are expected to receive the stable update before the end of the year.
