Samsung has today released the fifth One UI 8 Watch beta for the Galaxy Watch 7. The update fixes a bunch of issues present in the previous beta builds, suggesting that the stable version is just around the corner. As always, it has begun rolling out from the company’s home country, South Korea, but should reach the US market soon.

Galaxy Watch 7 picks up its fifth One UI 8 Watch beta

One UI 8 Watch Beta 5 for the Galaxy Watch 7 comes with firmware build number ZYI4 and weighs about 164MB. The latest beta hits the market just a week after the fourth beta, which improved health and workout tracking. Now, with the fifth beta, Samsung has addressed a host of remaining bugs to improve the overall user experience ahead of stable rollout.

Speaking of fixed issues, the update addresses a problem where exercise sessions would end suddenly if a medication reminder alert occurred during a run. Furthermore, it fixes a bug where the ‘Raise wrist to wake’ feature was forcibly disabled upon exiting sleep mode. It also ensures that the time displayed on Always On Display is correct. Other fixes include the health tile displaying as a blank space, stuttering while using the watch, and the timer app failing to run.

If you are using a Galaxy Watch 7 and live in beta-eligible countries, you can participate in the program through the Samsung Members app. After successful registration, you need to first open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected phone. Then, go to Watch settings > Watch software update, and choose Download and install.to get the new update.

As for when Samsung will release the stable version for the Galaxy Watch 7 series, the company has not shared an exact date yet. However, a previously leaked rollout schedule suggests that the Wear OS 6-based update for the Galaxy Watch 7 could arrive on October 1. We will let you know as soon as the final version becomes available.
