Samsung Releases February 2026 Security Patch for 20+ Galaxy Devices

Update activity slowed down over the past few weeks as Samsung focused on the Galaxy Unpacked event. Now, Samsung has resumed its rollout and started pushing the February 2026 security patch to several Galaxy devices. This week alone, around 25 models across the Galaxy A, M, F, and tablet lineup received the update. Some popular devices that recently picked up the update include the Galaxy S22 lineup, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy A15 5G, Galaxy A16 5G, Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy A33, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A35, Galaxy A36, Galaxy M15, and Galaxy M16.

Samsung releases February 2026 security patch for many Galaxy devices

The Galaxy S22 lineup, including the Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra have received the February 2026 update in Samsung’s home country, South Korea. The flagship lineup gets the update with the build version S90*NKSS8GZB2. The Galaxy M15 and Galaxy M16 also picked up the same update in the region. They carry the build versions M156SKSS7CZB2 and M166SKSS6BZB7 respectively.

The Galaxy A15 4G and Galaxy A15 5G started receiving the update in Korea with build versions A155NKSS9CZB4 and A156LKSS9CZB4. Their successors, the Galaxy A16 4G and Galaxy A16 5G, also received the patch with build versions A165NKSS6CZB4 and A166LKSS6BZB7.

Samsung also updated the Galaxy A33, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A35, and Galaxy A36 in South Korea with the February 2026 security patch. All four models have the build versions A336NKSSEGZB2, A346NKSSDEZB5, A356NKSS8CZB3 and A366NKSS5BZB2.

The Galaxy S21 FE (Exynos variant) received the February 2026 update in Vietnam and Thailand, with the build version G990EXXSMHZB5. However, the device has still not appeared with a One UI 8.5 test build.

Interestingly, the Galaxy A17 5G, which usually receives updates early, missed the initial rollout again. It is now getting the February 2026 security patch in the Philippines with build version A176BXXS5BZBE.

The February 2026 security patch does not introduce new features. It mainly improves system security and overall stability. The update fixes 37 security vulnerabilities provided by Samsung, Google, and other partners.

If you own any of the devices mentioned above and live in a region where the update is available, you can check for the February 2026 security patch by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the download is complete, tap Install now. Make sure your device has enough battery and stays cool before installing the update.
