Samsung Preparing Official 25W Magnetic Qi2 Charger for Galaxy S26 Series

Samsung looks to be gearing up for faster wireless charging with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. A new leak suggests the company is working on an official magnetic wireless charger. It could support charging speeds of up to 25W, which would be a noticeable upgrade over the current 15W limit.
Samsung’s magnetic Qi2 charger could debut at Unpacked, and unlock full Qi2 support
According to early dealer listings and a report from WinFuture (via 9to5Google), Samsung is working on a new magnetic wireless charger with the model number EP-P2900. The charger is said to use magnets for proper alignment. This strongly suggests that the Galaxy S26 lineup may finally feature built-in Qi2 magnets instead of relying on special cases. We also reported something similar just a few days ago, which further adds to the growing evidence.
So far, Samsung phones have supported Qi2 only in a limited way through so-called Qi2 Ready cases. These cases provide magnetic alignment externally, but the phones themselves do not include built-in magnets. The new charger is said to support up to 25W wireless charging. This is made possible by the newer Qi 2.2 standard, which requires precise magnetic alignment to reach those higher speeds.
Images of the charger have not surfaced yet, but the listings mention that it will be available in a dark gray finish. It’s expected to work not only with the Galaxy S26 series, but also with Galaxy Z foldables and Galaxy Buds.
That said, not every Galaxy S26 model may get the full 25W wireless charging speed. Current rumors suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be the only model to support the maximum 25W output. The regular Galaxy S26 and S26+ could be limited to slightly lower wireless charging speeds.
Since the Galaxy S26 series is still months away from launch, it may take some time before we see official images. Still, this is one of the clearest signs yet that Samsung is finally preparing to fully embrace Qi2 magnets and faster wireless charging across its flagship lineup.
