Samsung’s One UI 8 Stable Update Rolls Out to Galaxy A36

Samsung has officially started rolling out the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A36. After a short Beta Program, the device is now moving to the final version of Android 16 with Samsung’s latest software enhancements. The update should be available globally in the coming days.

Galaxy A36 grabs Samsung’s One UI 8 stable update, starting in Korea

As usual, the rollout begins in South Korea, Samsung’s home market. The Galaxy A36 is picking up the stable version of One UI 8 with the firmware build number A366NKSU2BYI9. While beta testers are the first to see the update, the rollout should soon hit non-beta users in Korea, before expanding to global markets. We will let you know when the update reaches other regions.

While One UI 8 puts a strong emphasis on Galaxy AI features for Samsung’s flagship devices, mid-range phones like the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 focus more on UI design changes, personalization options, and smoother navigation. Key improvements include new wallpaper styling options, adaptive lock screen clock, redesigned app menus, and enhanced system animations.

On top of this, you also get some Android 16 perks from Google. Together, these tweaks deliver a refreshed look and smoother experience, even without the advanced AI perks reserved for higher-end Galaxy devices. The update also includes the September 2025 security patch, ensuring Galaxy A36 users get both fresh features and stronger device protection.

This is the second mid-range smartphone after the Galaxy A56 to pick up Samsung’s stable One UI 8 update. Other models should soon join the party, likely led by the Galaxy A55, A54, and A35 (these three models received beta updates). Users can check for updates from Settings > Software update > Download and install. You need to restart your phone to complete the installation process.
