Samsung Health Update Adds Doctor Visits, Prescription Sync, Guided Workouts

Samsung Health is a handy way to keep track of everything related to your health in daily life. When paired with a Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Ring, it helps you stay on top of important changes in your lifestyle. And it is only going to get better. A new Samsung Health update is on the way, bringing three fresh features to the app.

The Samsung Health app has confirmed a major upgrade, powered by new partnerships with HealthTap, Walgreens, and iFIT. Together, these collaborations will add three major features that make managing your health even better.

What I’m most excited about is the ability to book virtual doctor visits. Through HealthTap, Samsung Health will introduce a new “Find Care” section where users can schedule online appointments, review upcoming visits, and ask follow-up questions after a consultation. Even though alternatives to the service exist, having it within app will make it convenient.

Next up, the Prescription management is also getting smarter. Until now, Samsung Health has relied on manual entry for medication tracking, which can be tedious and prone to mistakes. With Walgreens integration, prescriptions will sync directly with the app. This allows users to review past and current medications at a glance and monitor refill schedules more easily.

On the fitness side, Samsung is teaming up with iFIT to bring guided workout content straight into the app. These expert-led sessions range from high-intensity interval training to gentle recovery routines. Workouts will be organized into categories such as trending programs and seasonal picks, making it simpler to find something that matches your goals and mood. Some of this premium content may require an iFIT subscription.

The rollout begins September 8 and gradually expand over time. At launch, the new features will be available only in select countries:
